A New Era of Immersive Art Begins: teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi Opens in Saadiyat Cultural District

Art, technology, and imagination came together as teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi officially opened its doors in the Saadiyat Cultural District. Inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this new cultural landmark offers a one-of-a-kind multi-sensory art experience that transforms the way we connect with art.

Spanning 17,000 square metres, the venue is home to interactive artworks that evolve with their environment. Created by the world-renowned teamLab art collective, this space blends light, sound, science, and nature, inviting guests to explore both Wet and Dry zones filled with mesmerising visuals and hands-on experiences.

The grand opening on 17 April was a spectacular event, highlighted by a live performance from Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi, accompanied by 6,000 synchronised drones and stunning pyrotechnics lighting up the Saadiyat skyline.

Unlike traditional art, the pieces at teamLab Phenomena are alive—responding to the movement of visitors and changing with the natural environment. Each visit becomes a unique journey into the heart of creativity and innovation.

This launch marks another milestone for Saadiyat Cultural District, already home to Louvre Abu Dhabi, and soon-to-open gems like Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum. With teamLab Phenomena now part of this world-class hub, Abu Dhabi strengthens its role as a global cultural destination.
