Born as Shiv Kishan Bissa in 1945 or 1946 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Sheen Kaaf Nizam is widely respected for his literary scholarship and poetic brilliance.

Known by his pen name, Sheen Kaaf Nizam has played a key role in preserving and promoting classical Urdu poetry. He has edited and published numerous volumes of legendary Urdu poets in Devanagari script, making works like Deewan-e-Ghalib and Deewan-e-Mir accessible to Hindi readers across India.
