I am proud to share my family’s legacy, which begins with my grandfather, Thakur Sahib Kalyan Singh Lotwada ji. My father, Mr. Thakur Sahab Giraj Singh Sahab, was his only child, with no siblings. He had two sons, Lokendra Singh and Amarinder Singh, and a daughter, Loveleen Singh. I am one of the three siblings, and our mother is Shri Prafult Rana, the daughter of former minister Devendra Singh Bhilwara.
I got married in Attun village, Bhilwara, while my younger brother married in Kelawa, Jodhpur, and my sister married in Shergarh, district Ajmer. Our weddings were all arranged by Late Giriraj Singh Lotwada Sahib. I have a daughter, my younger brother has a son, and my sister has two sons and a daughter.
Our ancestral village is Lotwara, which was previously known as Manpur in the old princely state. We donated our land in Manpur to the local Brahmins and settled in Lotwara, where we built two forts – one made of mud and another that still stands today. Late Thakur Sahab Giriraj Singh Lotwara Sahab transformed the fort into a grand heritage hotel, known as Heritage Lotwara Fort, which attracts tourists from worldwide. The hotel has 11 rooms, a restaurant, and three gardens, and is managed by Lokendra Singh. My younger brother, Amarinder Singh, runs a mining business, and we both are involved in the hotel’s operations.
I was elected as the sarpanch of Lotwara village in 2010, winning by 914 votes, and served until 2015. During the 2015-2020 period, the sarpanch seat was reserved for the ST category, and I held the position. In 2020, I contested the election from the general seat and won with a thousand votes. As sarpanch, I have focused on development work, including laying water lines and providing tap connections throughout the village. We have also implemented the central government’s Jal Jeevan Mission and built a network of roads through RTDC tourism. Lotwara received 50 lakh rupees from the Rajasthan Government, which was utilized for village development during Gehlot Sahab’s tenure. Lotwara has a rich history, dating back to the Kazmi era, and we are proud to be its descendants.
