During the First World War, Indian warriors under the leadership of Major Dalpat Singh Shekhawat of Jodhpur liberated the Haifa city of Israel.
Here Indian mounted warriors fought and defeated armies equipped with modern weapons, cannons, bombs, guns, tanks etc. with swords and spears. The cavalry of Marwar captured the city in just an hour.
The independence gained after hundreds of years is celebrated there as Haifa Day. Tribute to the hero of this war – Hero of Haifa – Major Dalpat Singh Shekhawat on his martyrdom day.
