Sariska Tiger Reserve – A Wilderness of Majesty and Mystery
Sariska Tiger Reserve, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, is a rich ecosystem of scrub-thorn forests, dry deciduous woodlands, sprawling grasslands, and rugged hills. Once the royal hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Alwar, Sariska was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1958, a Tiger Reserve in 1978 under Project Tiger, and continues to be a celebrated conservation success story.
Zones & Safari Routes
Sariska is divided into five safari zones, each offering unique landscapes and wildlife sightings. Safaris operate through two main gates — Sariska Gate and Tehla Gate.
Zone 1 (Sariska Gate)
Route: Sariska – Ghanka Tirya – Tarunda – Brahmanath – Kalighati – Pandupol – Sariska
Zone 2 (Sariska Gate)
Route: Sariska – Bharthari Tibara – Karnakabas – Jalebi Chowk – Alguaal – Naya Pani – Geru Ka Tirya – Kalighati – Pandupol – Sariska
Zone 3 (Sariska Gate)
Route: Sariska – Kalighati – Kabri Gate – Kankwari – Neelkanth Mahadev – Tehla – Sariska
Zone 4 (Tehla Gate)
Route: Tehla – Chamari Ka Bera – Kalighati – Pandupole – Tehla
Zone 5 (Tehla Gate)
Route: Tehla – Kabri Gate – Kankwari Gate – Nilkanth Mahadev – Dabkan – Tehla
Note: Every Wednesday is a weekly holiday for tourism/safari at Sariska Tiger Reserve.

Visitors must download the boarding pass 1 hour before the safari shift begins. Carry the same ID used for booking; mismatches may lead to permit cancellation.
