Jaipur was certified as a World Heritage site through UNESCO Director, General Audrey Azoulay, at a mega occasion held on the ancient Albert Hall in the Pink City in June 2019. Azoulay offered the World Heritage City certificates to Minister of Urban Development Shanty Dharma. While talking on the occasion, Azoulay said, “UNESCO will collaborate with Rajasthan Government’s Tourism branch to expand Western Rajasthan for tourism.”
