National Mission on Biomass Utilization in Thermal Power Plants (Samarth) in association with National Bio Mission and NPTI organized a one day capacity building program for biomass pellet manufacturing stakeholders at Jaipur.

Government, Ministries, MSMEs, MNITs, GENCOs of Rajasthan, Financial Institutions, Pellet Manufacturers, Entrepreneurs, Industry Associations, OEMs, Agricultural Universities, KVKs, FPOs, CBBOs and Farmer Organizations participated in the workshop. In the august presence of Shri Vivek Gupta, Independent Director, NTPC Limited, Shri Sudip Nag (Mission Director, Samarth & Executive Director, NTPC Limited), Dr. Tripta Thakur, Director General, NPTI, Shri Chandrashekhar – Organization General Secretary, BJP (Raj), The program started by lighting the lamp. Ms. Anju Singh, Executive Board Member, MSME, Dr. Indu Maheshwari, HOI, NPTI, Mr. N.V. Kumar, Director, NPTI.

 

The objective of the one-day event was to promote and facilitate ex-situ use of agro-residues in various applications, with a focus on developing an eco-system for collection, transportation, manufacturing, supply of biomass. Thermal Power Plant Workshop has been organized in an area that has huge potential and discussions were held with the concerned stakeholders to resolve the issues towards expansion of biomass aggregation and pellet manufacturing.
