Kishan Bagh was earlier a barren stretch of land beneath Nahargarh Fort, later earmarked by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) to be transformed into a public park. The famous environmentalist and author Pradip Krishen was brought in around 2016 to help reimagine the space. -
Design Philosophy:
Instead of imposing ornamental gardens, the idea was to restore the native ecology — local vegetation, natural ravines, the authentic sand dune landscape of Rajasthan. The idea was to let the land speak its story rather than cover it up. -
