Ramdevra, Rajasthan – In an extraordinary fusion of devotion and healthcare, the 2025 Netra Kumbh—an unprecedented eye care initiative—is set to take place at the annual fair honoring Baba Ramdev Pir in Ramdevra. Running from August 1 to September 2, 2025, this 33-day campaign aims to deliver free eye screenings, corrective glasses, medications, and surgeries, offering renewed vision to over 125,000 individuals.

A Confluence of Faith and Service

Rooted in the legacy of Baba Ramdev Pir—who achieved Samadhi at age 33 in the 14th century—the fair in Ramdevra attracts millions of devotees annually. The spiritual atmosphere provides a compelling backdrop for transformative healthcare outreac.

Infrastructure and Daily Operations

Spanning six acres, the camp is equipped with seven German-engineered hangars containing around 50 OPDs, counters for dispensing prescription spectacles and medications, and facilities to support volunteers and medical teams ThePrint. Daily, the camp is expected to serve 4,000–5,000 people, facilitated by a team of 20 ophthalmologists, 50 optometrists, and 300 volunteers.

  • Target beneficiaries: Eye care for over 125,000 people, free spectacles and medicines for over 100,000 individuals, and surgeries for more than 11,000 cases.

  • On-site operations: Immediate corrective action for common ailments, with surgical cases referred to hospitals in beneficiaries’ home districts for free treatment.
