Under the joint aegis of Gujarat Tourism Department and India Tourism Office, Jaipur (Ministry of Tourism, Government of India) and FICCI, Rajasthan Chapter, a Travel and Tourism Meet was organized on 08 March 2022 at Hotel Jaipur Central Khasa Kothi, Jaipur. The program was conducted by the Tourist Officer of Gujarat Tourism, Mr By Ajit Kumar Sharma.
In the program, Tourist Information Officer of India Tourism Jaipur Office (Ministry of Tourism, Government of India) Mr. Trilok Tanwar, Member of FICCI Rajasthan State Council Mr. Surendra Singh Shahpura, Co-Chairman of Tour Operator Association of India Mahendra Singh Rathore, Rajasthan Rural Tourism Association Mr Vikram Singh Dhodhliya, Hotel Association of Jaipur Vice President Mr Hussain Khan and ADTOI General Secretary Viren Shekhawat were present and expressed their views. During the program and the topics related to wide publicity of tourism destinations/products of Gujarat were discussed and suggestions were invited to give impetus to the tourism sector.
Tourist Officer of Gujarat Tourism Mr. Ajit Kumar Sharma gave detailed effective presentation about Nadabet, Shivrajpur Beach, Balasinor, Statue of Unity and various tourist places of Gujarat which was appreciated by all the participants. During the program many questions related to Gujarat tourism were asked by the participants which were also answered.
Some major objectives of this event were :
- To establish a healthy atmosphere in the Gujrat Travel industry and foster healthy relations between tour agencies, travel agents and other persons and organizations in the tourism industry.
- To establish channels of communication and liaison with the Department of Tourism, the Gujrat and Rajasthan State and other public and private bodies; and will take all necessary steps to promote and develop domestic tourism in India.
- To promote cultural exchange, environmental protection and national integration in the territory of Gujrat and Rajasthan.
- The aim is also to bring all those agencies who are actively involved in the promotion of domestic tourism in these states under one umbrella.
The participants appreciated the impressive development in the field of Gujarat tourism and the tour operators, travel agency associations present expressed their intention to send more and more tourists to Gujarat.
